Themed Mountain Walks
Discover the varied natural world of the Alps, with its intriguing geology, history, fauna and flora and how environment has been exploited by man.
Animated alpine day walks, of a slightly strenuous nature with relaxed pace, plenty of breaks. Bring a picnic or for some walks there is the opportunity to have lunch at an alpine refuge. All the walks are in English and led by a mountain guide:
- Geology – a sculptured landscape that defines the environment, its exploitation and preservation
- History – transhumance, persistence, pestilence, revolution, resistance, industry and tourism
- Fauna and Flora – alpine zones, balance of survival, adaptation, specialisation and variation
- Water – the aggressor and environmental transformer, source and sustenance of the lakes and plains.
